As a way to become more familiar with the capabilities of our site, I will be making weekly post in an effort to stir up some interesting dialog. I hope that everyone had a wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend. Speaking of the 4th of July, this was a holiday that was not very well received by such abolitionist as Frederick Douglass, who thought that the very idea of celebrating FREEDOM was hypocritical in society that supported the institution of slavery. What are your thoughts on this topic?
